WHealthy Human Village (WHuV) is a project focused on the rights of the Mother Earth and Environmental Justice. We are committed to ending war on the earth and war between people, and reclaiming our rightful relationship to the planet and to each other.

We are bringing forth a vision of an “Occupy” that is a living prototype of the world we’d like to see, one piece at a time.  Our project is beginning small, with a network of “Villages” springing up around Minneapolis.  There will be Gers (a more respectful term for “Yurt”) that travel from location to location, offering classes, discussions, film-screenings, craft-circles, and more, in the interest of promoting awareness about the environment, developing local initiatives such as block-beautification projects, and creating a safe container for neighbors to meet each other.  The idea is to create a “commons”, a cozy, circular space where people can gather, as a local event.

People on the WHealthy Human Village team have many skills to offer, including gardening expertise, How to build a Ger, Art-classes, Cooking, Non-violent communication, and more.  Join us!  All skills welcome!

Occupy has broken the concrete sidewalk disconnecting us from the earth and from each other. It’s time now to create a space for a garden, where a new culture can grow, place by place.
